Tech Class: Basic Computer Skills
About this event
New to computers? You’re not alone—and this class is the perfect place to start. Join our friendly library staff for a relaxed, interactive, hands-on introduction to using a computer. No prior experience needed! We’ll cover the very basics, including how to use a mouse and keyboard, understand common computer terms, and perform simple tasks like opening programs and typing documents. You’ll have opportunities to practice during class and ask questions along the way.
As part of the program, participants will also get started with Northstar Digital Literacy, a self-paced online learning platform. You can take simple assessments to see what you already know and access guided lessons to build skills in areas where you want more practice. This class is designed especially for people with little to no technology experience. Learn at your own pace in a supportive, judgment-free environment!
