The Park Forest Public Library currently has access to Northstar Computer Classes through a grant from Age Options. At this time, staff need to create an account for you in order to save your progress. If you are interested, contact the Info Zone at 708-748-3731 x242. Once your information is entered in the Northstar system, you will receive an email to set up your account password.
Using Northstar Computer Classes
- Go to the Park Forest Public Library's Northstar webpage.
- Log in with your email and password.
- Take an assessment test for the topic of your choice.
- The assessment will help you focus on the things you still need to learn. Don't guess on the assessment. If you don't know an answer, click "I Don't Know."
- Take the practice course at your own pace.
- Retake the assessment when you are done taking the practice course to see your progress.
- When you return to the Northstar website, you can login with your email address and password to pick up where you left off.
