Explore More Illinois is a free service provided by the library that provides instant online access to free and discounted tickets to museums, science centers, sporting events, zoos, park districts, theatres, and other fun and local cultural venues.

Log in with your library card credentials and browse for passes by date or attractions. If you do not know your PIN or password, or if you have problems logging into Explore More Illinois, please contact the library. Make your reservation and print or download your pass shortly before your visit. You can have three active reservations per library card. Please cancel your reservation(s) if unable to attend, otherwise the reservation will count as being used. Remember that once you print or download your pass you cannot cancel your reservation.

Explore More Illinois users must be 18 years or older. Attractions may require a photo ID in addition to the reservation.

SouthWorks MakerLab

SouthWorks MakerLab Park Forest is a community makerspace. It is part of the SouthWorks MakerLab Network, providing making, entrepreneurship, and STEM opportunities.

Theater 47

Theater 47 is an intimate 200 seat venue nestled in the southern suburb of Park Forest, IL. The theater also serves as home for many talented actors, singers, dancers and musicians who perform with the Theater 47 Performing Arts Group. The venue is available to rent for both private and corporate events.

Muzicnet School of Music

The instructors at Muzicnet include composers, artists, music theory authors, school teachers and professional musicians/singers.

FieldCrest School of Performing Arts

FieldCrest offers a wide range of performing arts classes to give every student the opportunity to become a well-rounded performer. Classes include Acting and Artist Development, as well as a variety of Dance Classes, including Hip Hop, Majorette, Musical Theater, Tap, Ballet, and Contemporary.

Inkie 

Inkie.org is a suite of resources - available to everyone in Illinois at no charge - that supports local authors with online creation and publishing tools and allows readers to access locally-produced content.  Libraries can access over 300 local histories from Arcadia Publishing/The History Press. These e-books, which feature Illinois towns and topics, are available to everyone in Illinois via the inkie.org Library.

Governor's State University Legal Clinic (708) 235-7553

The GSU Self-Help Legal Assistance Clinic (GSU-LC) provides free self-help legal assistance and non-legal resources to low-income Illinois residents using the court system without legal representation, understand and navigate the legal system. At the clinic, a team of attorneys, social workers, and volunteers work together under the supervision of a licensed attorney and social worker to increase access to legal services in underrepresented communities.

The Pantry provides free food to residents of Rich Township, all of Park Forest, and to the homeless. If you do not live in the Township, you will be given emergency food one time and information on pantries that serve your address. Households must meet the Emergency Food Program Income Eligibility Guidelines.

South Suburban PADS (708) 332-7700

South Suburban PADS provides overnight accommodations in safe, warm locations for anyone seeking refuge.
