Report From The Librarian
Library Director VanSwol reported that SWAN completed our annual National Change of Address Report. People who have moved have had their cards expired. Our grout maintenance was completed last month. The Park Forest Public Library Board has approved the replacement of the electronic boards on our outdoor sign. Some of the lights had burned out, making the sign hard to read, and we could no longer obtain replacement parts. The library now has a puzzle shelf where people can take or leave a puzzle in good condition, similar to a little free library. On April 2, the library will host Illinois
Humanities Road Scholar Speaker Connie Martin who will talk about Pre-Civil War Quilts: Secret Codes to Freedom on the Underground Railroad. The program starts at 5 pm, and registration is encouraged.
There will be a reception for Sevena Merchant following the April 17 Park Forest Public Library Board meeting.
Trustee Pierson moved to accept the Librarian’s report.
Trustee Clark seconded.
The motion passed.
Communications
Jessica Washington stated that the 2025 President’s report went out to residents. Ms. Washington discussed the appointment process and the appointment of a liaison to the Board.

Trustee Pierson seconded.
The motion passed.
Meeting adjourned at 6:54 pm
