What is Whale breathing?
Whale breathing is a powerful self-healing technique
This breath helps release emotional blocks, relieving you of stress, anxiety and tension. It connects your body, soul and spirit. Using continuous, diaphragmatic conscious breathing, along with toning, you detoxify and purify the body. This renews your body at a cellular level and creates a connection to inner wisdom. The increase in the flow of oxygen to your organs and lymph system, boosts immunity and your body’s natural healing ability.

In collaboration with the Park Forest Office of Sustainability, we will be hosting a pop-up through artist Holly Greenberg's project, Bird Collisions in the Anthropocene.
Be a part of something big! Make a replica songbird from upcycled fabric that will be labeled with your name and used in Greenberg's final art installation. We will also be presenting information about small steps that you can take to make your windows safer for birds. All ages are welcome to participate.
Notes from Bird Collisions in the Anthropocene: In an effort to raise awareness about one of the leading causes of bird deaths, we are making replicas of every bird killed from a window collision and collected on the streets of Chicago in 2023 and we need your help! Chicago lies in the migratory path of over 300 species of birds, making it the most dangerous city in the country for our avian friends. In one night alone, 966 birds struck just one building on Chicago’s lakefront. Through crowdsourcing the crafting of these bird replicas, we will create a “carpet” of birds running over 300 feet in length. Using upcycled cloth and donated materials to create the birds, we invite all to help.
Understanding how you can protect your home from bird-window collisions is paramount to the project, which is why teaching about how to identify and modify your problematic windows is at the forefront of our mission.
