    Join us on designated days for an interactive, instructional fitness session with fan-favorite instructor Arlene Santiago! We've taken Chair Yoga and graduated into something even more exciting: Ageless Strength & Mobility!

     

    This program is available in-person at the library. 

     

    Registration is required!

    Patrons who sign up are registered for classes for the entire month. 

     

    *PLEASE NOTE: Participants must sign the waiver below prior to participating. Participants must be registered to attend.

    Join us for a cooking demonstration with samples, featuring Chef Tony Cannon and his wife Abbey. This local couple has extensive food company experience including their former restaurant, Aunt Tina's Kitchen, Aunt Tina's Sound Bites Food Truck and That Rub Seasoning Company. Chef Tony is now the Director of Kitchen Operations for Church Street Brewing Company and BarleyHaus in Itasca, and has an amazing gift to create exquisite flavor combinations. He will be showing the group how to create three different menu items that will make you fall in LOVE! Samples of each item will be provided for all attendees, along with recipes to take home.

    • Ribeye wrapped asparagus with red wine reduction cream sauce
    • Chocolate Mousse
    • Oreo Mousse with fresh whipped cream and fruit

This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow library lovers, share ideas, and help support programs, events, and initiatives that make our library such a valuable community resource. Whether you're a long-time member or just curious about getting involved, all are welcome!

    We'll be discussing what's new and next for the Friends as well as ways to advocate for our library. Your input and enthusiasm help make it all possible—we hope to see you there!

    We are looking to fill the positions of Vice President and Secretary! Please join us and inquire if you are interested.

      Nature's Gentle Tai Chi Gong with Brian Thompson

      Join Brain Thompson, Founder/ Wellness Innovator Speaker/ Healer of Bnew4life LLC as he demonstrates and lead participants in breathing, relaxation, self-calming and gentle movement techniques. These methods help address pandemic related stress, release pain and improve quality of life. Calming music will accompany the natural environment.

      Tai chi is a system of movements and positions believed to have developed in 12th Century China. Tai chi techniques aim to address the body and mind as an interconnected system and are traditionally believed to have mental and physical health benefits.
