Family Development Workshop with Governors State University. Friday, January 16 at 11 am. Join us for a fun, hands-on family lesson led by certified early childhood instructors, where you'll learn simple, meaningful activities you can do at home with everyday materials to support your infant's, toddler's, or preschooler's school readiness and lifelong learning skills.

Life Ripples Book Club. Saturday, January 17 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. James by Percival Everett and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. No registration is required.

Library Board Vacancy

An open position on the Park Forest Library Board of Trustees is now vacant until the next election, which will be held in April 2027. The vacancy can be filled until that time by appointment by the Park Forest Library Board.

Park Forest residents interested in applying for this Library Board Trustee vacancy may do so by completing the application for a Trustee. Applications are also available to pick up at the Park Forest Public Library. Applications must be returned no later than February 7, 2026, to Lance L. Jefferson, President, 400 Lakewood Boulevard, Park Forest, IL 60466, or emailed to lance.jefferson@pfpl.org. The Library Board normally meets at 7:30 PM on the third Thursday of each month.
