Depression and Anxiety in Older Adults

Depression and Anxiety are two of the most common mental disorders and their signs and symptoms frequently co-occur. This course will explore both depression and anxiety and teach you how to recognize and understand each disorder in the older adult population, as well as strategies for symptom management.
Join Lisa Guardiola - Community Mental Health Outreach and Education Trainer of Sertoma Centre for this 1hr course.
Objectives:
Upon the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Recognize depression and anxiety, and identify signs and symptoms in older adults
- Gain an understanding of the causes and risk factors for depression and anxiety
- Learn coping strategies and treatment for each disorder
