We encourage everyone to read The Maltese Falcon by
Dashiell Hammett as part of The Big Read at the library.
Due to our continuing reonvations, The Big Read will take place
in the Board Room at the Park Forest Village Hall as well as
at other community venues.
The Youth Services Department will have special programs
for a Little Read of their own.
All programs are open to the public and are free of charge.

Big Read Kickoff
Assistant Professor of English Rosemary Johnsen of Governors State University will be giving a talk on Dashiell Hammett and hard-boiled fiction as a genre. The talk will be followed by the first book discussion of "The Maltese Falcon."
