WINTER READING CLUB

 

READING AROUND THE WORLD

Grab your passport for a winter filled with exciting
adventures! Discover hidden nature sights across the
nation, take a trip through the outback, and solve
mysteries in exotic places.


Your winter reading goal is to participate in at least 3 or 4
different reading activities and keep a book log.

Doing more will mean you will have more fun and learn more
about kids around the world.

 

Check out a book about celebrations around the world.

Attend one of the Youth Services Wold Culture Club events.

Patricipate in the Around the World Bears activity.

Check out a cookbook and make a dish from another country.

Listen to a book on CD.

Create a craft from another country.

Make a contribution--participate in a Day of Service on January 16th.

And Much, Much more.


 

Ages 0-5: Having books read to you and your goal is to read
12 "E" books during winter reading.

Ages 5-7: Beginning to read yourself and you should try to read
8 "E" books to a friend or parent.

Ages 8-11: Read a few good short chapter books.
The librarian can help you pick one out.

Ages 12-18: Pick out at least 3 good books (J, Y, or YA) for
cozying up with this winter. Or pick 2 big fat ones you've
been dying to read.
