COMPUTERS AT THE LIBRARY
Early Literacy Station
The Early Literacy Station™ (ELS) is a groundbreaking educational tool for children ages 2 through 10. The English edition includes 50 educational software programs spanning seven curricular areas.
Kids can start to explore immediately on the colorful keyboard and kid-sized mouse, playing game after game that improves their literacy skills. Younger players can start with Reader Rabbit and Giggles Toddler titles, while older ones can discover An Amazing Human Body and Math Blasters.
No registration or library card is necessary for children and their caregivers to use this station.
YOUTH SERVICES COMPUTER Stations
You’ll find six workstations on the Youth Services side of the library that offer Internet access. Priority of use of these stations is given to students doing schoolwork. Internet computers are not filtered. Students using the computers are required to register with a parent in Youth Services and to have a valid library card. There is no charge for Internet access; black & white printing is available for 10 cents per page.
There are two computer stations at the library that offer games only. One is reserved for toddlers through age 5, the other is appropriate for students through middle school. Any child may use the game computers.
