PATRON SERVICES

Interlibrary Loan

Through interlibrary loan, patrons can access materials from other libraries in Illinois and from other national and international OCLC-participating libraries. The requested materials will be sent to the Park Forest Public Library, where the patron may check the item out (or, in some cases, use it only in the library). The turnaround time varies depending upon the lending library and the status of the materials requested.

When the item arrives the patron will be notified by e-mail or mail or phone (by request only). New DVDs will be held for 1 week; books and all other CDs & DVDs will be held for two weeks.

If the patron does not pick up the requested material before the hold expires, the request is cancelled and the items are returned to the owning library. If the items are still wanted, another request must be placed.

Item may be requested online, by phone, by e-mail (include barcode and name), or in person at the library.
